PRAYER
In our fellowship meeting last Sunday, we were blessed to receive God’s word through Pastor Owen. The Lord encouraged us to pray, pray and pray some more. We can never get enough of prayer. Prayer strengthens us and empowers us to see things more clearly.
UNITY
There was a call to unity and to gather with God as He gathers, and not scatter. If we scatter when God gathers, then we become enemies of God because we are opposing Him.
ASSIGNMENTS
We were reminded that we are members of a body and that each member is important. God has given us assignments to do. He does not give us assignments if it’s not important.
Which is more important, the person or the assignment? The assignment.
People may come and go, but the job needs to get done.
Sounds mean? Not really, when you know it’s God who wants the job to be done.
SELF CONTROL
We also learned about the spirit of self-control, how that when we can master ourselves we are greater than one who can take a city. Proverbs 16 v 22.
Anyone got a problem or an addiction to drugs, alcohol, overeating etc? The key is in overcoming. Sin is at the door but you can master it. Genesis 4 v 6
God gave us a lot to chew on today.
